GOALS:
- Design and develop a suite of over 600 custom websites for the Extendicare Corporation and its associated facilities
- Work closely with Extendicare technical and administrative staff to coordinate the purchase and setup of needed domain names
- Work closely with JB Chicago (a Chicago-based, integrated marketing firm) to create all needed design compositions and populate the websites for Extendicare with timely, relevant content
- Coordinate meetings with JB Chicago, Extendicare US, Extendicare Canada, Extendicare REIT as well as Extendicare Corporate IT and networking technology partners in order to deliver a custom, internet-based software solution on time and on budget
- Perform in-depth SEO (Search Engine Optimization) analysis on Extendicare and the healthcare providing industry as a whole in order to develop high-impact titles, descriptions and keywords to be used across the Extendicare suite of websites
- Integrate Windows-based authentication into the administrative console used for managing all of the corporate websites, facility websites, and associated news articles, press releases, testimonials, services, supplemental documentation, financial documentation, navigational menus, job listings, career opportunities, and associated administrative users
- Work closely with Extendicare technical and administrative staff to migrate the websites from disEntropy’s development environment to a managed, distributed production environment on the Extendicare network
- Provide Extendicare REIT with the needed tools to manage supplemental and financial documentation available on the website through the content management system
- Provide the Extendicare Human Resources department with robust, online tools to create, manage, display, store, review, and track job listings, career opportunities, candidates applying for specific jobs as well as candidates submitting resumes for future consideration

The complex and immense nature of this project – designing and developing over 600 custom websites – brought disEntropy together with JB Chicago, Extendicare US, Extendicare Canada, Extendicare REIT as well as number of Extendicare Corporate IT and networking technology partners. With careful analysis and design, proper planning and implementation, we were able to deliver a complete technology solution to Extendicare that met and exceeded their goals and expectations on time and on budget.
This solution provided Extendicare with online, content management tools to update the webpages on any of their sites in real time, manage job listings and career opportunities for any of their corporate or facility-level openings, add or remove facilities, add or remove services and care options available at any of their facilities, update links and images used, or manage a list of associated domain names.
