Website Development
GOALS:
- Redesign, develop and deploy a corporate website for Norbest, Inc. highlighting their turkeys and turkey products that gives website visitors the opportunity to purchase Norbest Gift Certificates through a secure, online, payment gateway
- Use the best practices in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to position Norbest as high as possible in the list of organic searches on Google, MSN, Yahoo and other popular search engines
- Provide an online mechanism for viewing and printing any of the hundreds of turkey recipes that Norbest has collected over the years
SOLUTIONS:disEntropy worked closely with Norbest and JB Chicago (a Chicago-based, integrated marketing firm) to create a set of design compositions and functional wireframes to be used in developing an SEO optimized, corporate website.
Once designs had been approved, disEntropy began programming for the website using the best practices for SEO so as to draw attention to the high quality of turkeys and turkey products offered by Norbest. This included webpages detailing suppliers, customers, turkey facts and statistics, company history, turkey tips, an online turkey recipe database, and a clickable map of the United States that tells where Norbest turkeys can be found.
disEntropy also put in place an online ordering mechanism whereby website visitors can order Norbest Gift Certificates by credit card, by check or on account using a simple 5-step process programmed using disEntropy step-through wizard technology. Consumers as well as Norbest administrative staff receive email confirmation of each order.
